Hello all.
Long time lurker here looking for the latest views on making regular AIM portfolio withdrawals.
I am well versed in the retirement literature and the tremendous back catalogue on this site.
However, as I switch away from accumulation I would like to canvas those in (early) retirement on their approach/ experiences on making regular withdrawals.
For reference the salient point of my situation are.
- Achieved financial independence age 40. UK based.
- Looking to make perpetual fixed percentage withdrawals of 3.5%pa.
- currently 70% equities essentially tracking acwi
- want to at least maintain real income and capital values over long term (20+yrs)
- Buy safe 10%, Sell safe 0%, 5%mts, monthly reviews, vealies based on vwave cash levels (diversified)
- adjust pc annually for inflation (up) and withdrawals (down) as well as after buys.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all of you and Tom and Clive (is7550) in particular for their insights over the years. Thank you.
Nick
