Question to Dan or M&A experts:
It is my understanding that a stock swap portion of a buyout is still retained for long-term capital gains.
So let's talk about a cash payout portion would that be taxed at ordinary income?.
Next the dividend portion of a CVR would that be taxed as ordinary income during the year that it was received?
Thanks in advance curious minds want to know.
