Everything in the Bay Area and LA are more expensive. Rent, local taxes, license fees, etc. You are correct in that regard.
They do however have the most people per sq mile which should make up for all of that, especially if a location is near a mass transit center.
If your plan requires that you do nothing but wait, then do nothing but wait. 90% of trading is waiting
