The sentiment is justified. It would be nice to say we've sold units to a 3rd party, if Kalvara is not acquired (and I have no idea if that is going to be the way they go with the acquisition or not ;) ), and it certainly looks good as a headline!
IMO the best way to go with this, if the ONLY two options are:
a) Buy out Kalvara
b) Leave them alone and sell them the GRO3 units
would be a.
We then have another company under our umbrella, which would then become a dominant force (probably leader) in its field. The sales of the units would go ahead regardless, but to your point, it does look better if we've sold them to 'another company', rather than to 'one of our own'.
Snakes = dominant force
GRO3 = dominant force
Kalvara (?) = dominant force
It's import for Roger to look at acquisitions that provide us not only with a foothold in an industry but which will allow us to quickly become a market leader. Let's work on being the shepherd, not the sheep.
I'd still like to see GRO breaking off the same way IK is slated to do. I'm sure it'll happen as things grow.
