VirnetX +41% as Appeals Court hears patent arguments

VirnetX (NYSEMKT:VHC) gains 40.7% as a panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit hears arguments regarding patent validity at the heart of VHC's case against Apple.

Apple is challenging the $302M infringement verdict awarded to VirnetX. VHC is challenging Patent Trial and Appeal Board decisions that its patents are invalid.

The panel's decision isn't expected for months.
