The non-stop attacks on the main backseat for the company, getting it to this point through sheer force of will, despite aggressive attacks is par for the course.

It’s standard PR strategy to attack individuals who are critical to a company or political effort, to not directly always attack the effort or company, but to separate that effort from it’s strongest means of support and try to disable that support.

Without that support, this would be .05 or less... and everyone knows it. It might not even be in business, which I believe is the certain strategy of some. The objective is to turn supporters of the company into supporters of such attacks. To convince them that attacking the key person will help them.

Happens all the time in the context of all sorts of PR strategies.
