We might even ponder the true implications of the FDA Precision Medicine initiative. Assuming all new clinical studies and P+ trials actually proceed using an honest process (for example as the recent A2-73 patent app suggests) then just how much REAL science will be used? How much of the Crap will be assessed using new methods as in retrospective validations using new tools. Surely we will get some insights into the impacts as suggested by Xena. Just how good/bad is the stuff we have out there? Who knows, but the opportunity suggests itself.

I am surprised and actually impressed that AVXL has just shown newly granted patents app. w/o even a whisper PR. In one case we saw evidence of testing for AD biomarkers being conducted for a couple of years (+/-) in stealth mode. Results looked impressive from a distance. If that work means a more effective AD treatment exists and we are 2 years ahead of the pack at least, then that is very good news. Is it the case that only a few even get how significant this new patent app is and therefore the silence b/c they don't get it? I guess we all will just wait and see what comes from it. If this silence is any indication of how the FDA PM science output is going to be handled by the WS analysts then this is gonna take a while.

Good news is we have some significant patent accomplishments which the AVXL team can be proud of. My guess is we are way out in front of the pack, possibly even to the extent that no one knows how to publish PM process results using the old school context and consequently nothing is official yet.
