I've only owned it since 2017 and other than the dividends it's not been kind to me so far. However, with a P/E of about 5.6, a dividend of about 4.5%, a BETA of 1.5 and a Price/Book Value of 2.4 it's looking okay for the future.
Value Line gives it a 3-5 Year appreciation potential of $85 to $125/share on a stock priced currently at a bit over $42. They show BETA at 1.2 and Timeliness of #2 out of 5. Here's how my history with IP looks so far:
I've not added in the dividends to the cash along the way. Price/Share is down about 20% since my initial buy but the AIM portfolio shows a loss of 12%, softened to a degree by the cash reserve and also by the averaging down of the cost/share through the three recent purchases.
In the mean time I'm content to clip coupons along the way.........
