That sounds to me as though the market makers were playing games with you as a retail buyer, forcing you to pay more than you wanted to. There's a difference between what they could do (fill you at the price you wanted to pay) and what they wanted to do (fill you at the price they wanted you to pay).

Don't those 'signals' supposedly convey what market makers themselves want, as though other market makers will work in collusion to make each other happy?

Today, EGOH has an endless supply of shares at .0001. Any retail buyer can just start buying shares at .0001. They can buy 100s of millions of them. EGOH is soooooo diluted that it will almost certainly never rise out of the .0001's.

(Note: I hold a modest position in EGOH, bought pre-Ken, so I'd LOVE for it to rise out of the .0001s. But its history under Ken seems to prove that it will never, EVER, rise. EGOH under Ken is a flim-flam. But then, it was also a flim-flam pre-Ken as well. If it does rise, it will be a miracle, and a short-lived one, at that.)
