Firing Powell would accomplish nothing - he doesn't make rate decisions in a vacuum, the entire committee votes. What he's been doing is rattling the markets with poorly worded guidance. Shutdown is likely to last until Jan 3 at the earliest - that's when Dems take control of the House. Shouldn't have any affect on AMRN since sNDA isn't expected to be filed until late Jan or sometime in Feb - and if FDA still isn't funded by then we'll have a lot more to worry about than V gaining R-IT approval.
