Now, what does our dearest Fed have to say tomorrow? I still think that the markets have positioned themselves for a full-blown dovish Fed. I just don't see that happening. They will raise the 0.25% expected tomorrow and change their tune slightly, for sure...but they will not flat out do a 180 degree turn from what they've been saying (which is what I believe the market is anticipating). IMO that would come across as though they are listening to outside voices (HINT: POTUS), which they don't want.
OTOH, they are a bunch of maroons that don't know what they're doing...so I probably shouldn't be surprised if they do change their tune entirely. LOL
PS- there are some theories out there stating the Fed won't raise at all tomorrow. If that happens, all hell will be unleashed in the markets as it will create massive uncertainty and imply the Fed is concerned about the future of the economy. Gold would rocket and stocks would drop 5%+ on that unlikely scenario, so I don't foresee that playing out either. All JMO.
