I agree the model has worked so far buying undervalued assets, working some optimization and sales improvements and then having them contribute to the bottom line. A lot of these smaller companies are going to become available for purchase in the next several years. A lot of founders are retiring and the children have no interest in running the business. The founder then needs to find a buyer and the kids take the cash out. I am seeing it across several industries here in Michigan. Public account firms are struggling to maintain growth due to the number of available clients going down as these family businesses sell to Chinese or BDC investment groups and no longer use the local CPA offices. This is happening in several other offices throughout the country so should be happening near ALPP as well. I say all this to point out that ALPP will have several candidates for acquisition for many years. Pickup a business that is a bolt-on but needs some optimization. Turn it around in 18-24 months and have it cash flow positive.

I am holding long-term and wouldn’t trim my position until we exceed $1.00.
