Well, it *is* the time of year for the annual "big deal" announcement from Moller International/Freedom Motors.
To put this in perspective, here are some of the previous "big deals" (usually announced in December or January) and what happened to them.
2017: An ICO (Initial Coin Offering) for a new cryptocurrency intended to fund development of the Freedom Motor's rotary engine. Intended to be an end run around securities regulations, it was deferred in March 2018 when it became apparent that an ICO would still be subject to SEC rules, and then never referred to again.
2016: The PSC deal. Moller International was supposed to be the recipient of 250 million dollars from the "Funding Positive Change"organization, a shadowy cabal of financiers, with the funds supposedly coming from revaluation of the worthless Zimbabwe dollar. This deal just sort of faded out when David Sastry came on the scene.
2014: Moller International announces joint venture with Alife Air Automobiles of Singapore to supply engines for use in scooters and tuk-tuks to be built in Singapore. Alife went out of business after only building twenty scooters, all with conventional piston engines.
2013: Moller signs a memorandum of understanding to create a joint venture with Athena Technologies for co-production of Moller's aircraft in the United States and China. The joint venture is supposed to invest $480 million to produce a variety of VTOL aircraft by 2014. While approval of the deal is supposed to happen "within weeks", noting ever happens.
