Experts love to shoot holes in others' work....

Especially when that work a) has pre-existing holes (is inadequate, inaccurate, or otherwise deficient), and b) when new explanations and proposals threaten existing, accepted knowledge and the careers based upon such.

Academics LOVE to poke holes in new, questionable explanations that threaten their expertise and positions. Successful refutations, either by argumentative text or by negating evidence, thoroughly substantiate the positions of those negating the new understandings.

If the Anavex science is valid and might attain commercial success, might just a few high-paid positions in research and therapeutic neurology be endangered? We continue to await their definitive pronouncement on the inadequacy of Anavex science.
