I have not spoken with Allan but remember reading an account of his situation that was supposedly given by someone who did know it. The MO of Direct is necrosis. My research led me to believe that this would be the case and it was confirmed in the sarcoma patient that had a huge tumor become massively necrotic and in reports from other patient stories as well as Allan's. Once a tumor becomes completely necrotic there is no longer any active blood flow in the remaining dead tumor tissue or blood vessels entangled with live cancer vasculature that would cause massive bleeding if cut into. The dead tumor vasculature is plugged so to speak and blood vessels can be much more easily worked around when surgical removal of the necrotic tumor tissue is removed. Once you hit 5 years without cancer you are basically cured. Allan is now headed toward 6 years from his first Direct treatment. Like I have said before, NWBO has news that they are not trumpeting and this is only a fraction of it. If I could figure out the MO before confirmed and also figure out that the spacing of their treatments was suboptimal in Phase 1 and accurately predict what the spacing for Phase 2 would be, you can imagine why I might have a different buyout value in mind for NWBO than many have been suggesting and also why I don't believe there will be a buyout but rather licensing agreements or merger of some sort with Linda still having a significant interest though downplayed role.
