It is my belief that it is not Samsung. I lean more to a Korean Company, LG Electronics. They used to be Goldstar and they bought Zenith TV. They manufacture many branded items for other companies, even Sony's Hi Definition receivers. They certainly have the size to fit the criteria mentioned by RP. I have never believed edig had anything to do with the Yepp players myself.
