Retire - My take on Vascepa joint pain.
The current V label lists arthralgia (joint pain) because in a previous trial about 2.3% of those taking V reported it as opposed to about 1% in the placebo arm.

The fact is, in any trial some subjects may complain of ailments unrelated to the trial. By random chance, about half the time there will be more complaints in the active arm than in the placebo arm, possibly leading to an unnecessary warning on the label.

I don't believe arthralgia was reported as a side effect in RI, so I expect the arthralgia warning to go away. We may pick up warnings about bleeding and/or A-fib.
