Understanding and overcoming barriers to early diagnosis
Studies show that cognitive impairment may remain unrecognized in 27% to 81% of affected patients in primary care.2 However, of these patients with cognitive impairment, 60% to 80% have Alzheimer’s disease.1
Low recognition of Alzheimer's disease may be caused by several barriers,
including:
The time burden associated with testing and counseling2
Reluctance of patients and care partners to report signs or symptoms due to stigma around Alzheimer’s disease2
Lack of diagnostic resources4

Credit to BIIB, we have to begin this conversation somewhere, as in, the first step in solving a problem is recognizing that one exists.

This comment might just as easily said..."look, we are all potential AD patients", according to our data if you live long enough (we can say w/x% confidence level) you will present MCI-AD symptoms, blah, blah. But, we will not admit that largely b/c there is no certain AD diagnostic, and there is no treatment and it makes everyone feel depressed and helpless. So, we don't bring it up. AKA, whistling past the graveyard.

Get real, maybe BIIB has started the right thing here even if they did not intend to start one...remember polio, aides, smoking, ebola...my goal is to embarrass the crap out of the FDA and every politician on the planet and all BP who profit from the continuing farce.
Being below the radar does not serve our purposes well, if you have it show it.
