started about 2003 and ended in 2006, about 3 years...management was saying shareholders would get about 3.50 per share when the bk closed.. Mike Willingham represented the equity committee at that time....Philip Falcone of Harbinger Hedge fund threw Calpine in Bk when he called a loan when the price of natural gas spiked about 15 dollars a 1miiion BTU...shareholders were promised 3.50 per share but that changed when the analyst for the equity committee blew his testimony about the value of Calpines assets under cross examination by Falcones expert lawyers...I sold my 336000 shares at 3.40 dollars before the testimony, luckily, at the urging of a friend of mine who also had calpine stock... it was a smart move...in the end, the shareholders of alpine got stiffed, did not get the 3.50 per share, but were given warrants to exercise in 6 months if Calpine reached 16 dollars per share... of course, Calpine never did reach that price, and the warrants expired worthless....Lodas
