Because there are Gov't subsidies that buyers get for purchasing a Volt. That's why they mention it. Thats what most of the discussions are about.

To my knowledge no incentives exist for a NatGas auto.

Even with a $7500 incentive the vehicles aren't very popular. People just aren't interested. Yet if the EV is going to fit in somewhere you would think the automobile would be it.
