Although the third paragraph is largely in the past tense, the reference to EPA Petroleum as a "wholly owned subsidiary" is, at best, ambiguous. I read it as suggesting that it is still a subsidiary since there is NOTHING in the sentence to suggest that it is no longer such. Others may read it differently.

The company was registered with Ergon Oil, of Jackson, MS. as an oil producer and minority owner of this project, through WOGI's wholly owned subsidiary EPA Petroleum, Inc. Together with contractor Xite Energy Inc., it had completed the design, build and operation of this ten well project back in 2015.
