Getting back to "business."

It was early June when LP stated a business deal should be released within the next few weeks. Slightly over five months later, she is stating, apparently, that business deal is in its final stage of negotiation.

Its:

" late stage"

"parallel negotiations with different unrelated third parties"

regarding "substantial alternative potential financings,"

"Company anticipates the accounting and disclosure could be impacted by the completion of this process." (This portion did not happen for the 10Q subsequent events section, because LP instead filed the 10Q 24 hours later.)

So, negotiations apparently started before ASCO and are currently in late stage?

What type of alternative financings take a half year to negotiate? That should be obvious. Shouldn't it.?
