AT is still struggling with this. I made no note of a PR in my email so they must be getting some heat about this from other people.

Mr. XXXX,

This isn't a question of who's right or wrong. Its a question of risk. We have made a business decision to wait until we receive official confirmation of the announced transaction before we adjust clients' accounts. We will not deliver shares if we do not have them. This could potentially pose a risk for the client and the firm. We have a fiduciary responsibility to our clients and must make every effort to mitigate risk of loss to them and our investors when pertinent information is available.

Again, we cannot speculate as to whether another firm does or does not operate with the same process or why they would opt to make any particular decision. We have no way of knowing if they have received payment of shares from the transfer agent but we do know that we have not and will not be making adjustments based on a press release.
