Circuitcity -- I looked it up in the 2007 JELIS paper...

Plasma EPA concentration and the ratio of EPA to arachidonic acid at baseline were 93 mg/L and 0·60 in controls, and 97 mg/L and 0·63 in
the EPA group, respectively. Plasma EPA concentration and the ratio of EPA to arachidonic acid at year 5 were 93 mg/L and 0·59 in controls. On the other hand, plasma EPA concentration at year 5 was 169 mg/L in the EPA group, which was a 70% increase from baseline. The ratio of EPA to arachidonic acid increased two-fold from 0·63 to 1·23 in the EPA group. Similar results were reported previously.

Very importantly -- keep in mind. I think they usually report the ratio as AA/EPA... here it was reported as EPA/AA.

The EPA in Jelis started with AA/EPA ratio which would generally be considered FABULOUS in the Western world (less than 2 -- 1/.6 = 1.67). The control arm didn't budge in the end, but the EPA arm went under 1! (1/1.23)

That may actually be too low, in a holistic sense. The body doesn't need NO inflammation. It needs some inflammation to function properly.
