Your imported bookmarks (if any) can be found by clicking on the 3 vertical dots at top right of screen (below the X to close Chrome). There you will also find lots of other stuff as well (like new tab, history, downloads, tools, etc). I keep 8-10 tabs open at one time without problems.

I used Firefox for years, but when I went to Win10 I shifted to Chrome and really like it. I organized my bookmarks into folders which appear at top of screen right below the address bar, very handy.
