San Antonio-based Gouger Oil Company LLC is seeking permission to recomplete a vertical well on its Sullivan Unit lease in Live Oak County. Located off FM 1873 about eight miles west of George West, the drilling project targets the Wildcat field to a total depth of 10,304 feet. Formed by oil industry veteran Thomas M. Gouger III in December 2014, the project marks the first drilling project under Gouger Oil Company LLC. Gouger's previous company, Tejones Operating Company, had drilled on the Sullivan Unit lease between 2006 and 2008.
