Well let me see:

With giving the IR firm shares one would know up front how many shares would be handed out unlike a toxic loan where the amount of shares is unknown until the conversion takes place and usually the toxic lender tries hard to bring the SP down just before conversion in order to gain more shares.

Do you realize some IR firms are paid a flat rate depending on what is stated in the contract regardless of what the SP is doing? Yes, I think the main goal of an IR firm is to gain the attention of potential investors and get the SP up, but not all work that hard to do that. There are good IR firms and then there are shitty ones, just like doctors, lawyers, airlines pilots, and all other human related workers.

Keep guessing as I'm guessing too...and my guesses are ones that foresee the future of this company and their SP.
