The answer to that is simple:

Because the revenue that their games will make FAR OUTWEIGHS the cost of their salaries.

We took a chance on a Board Game making company because Snakes&Lattes as an interest in self publishing.

The company understands that most of the profit generated is made by the publishing side and they want a share of that profit.

The company thinks they have what it takes to distinguish a good game from a bad game thereby increasing their chances of publishing a hit.

And now that they have a game making company, they can scout for talent in the business and add to the employees working in Morning Plays.

Morning Plays has the potential for massive growth, based only on the synergy of Snakes&Lattes.

Remember that Snakes&Lattes hosts game designer nights. These can be used to:

Discover the flaws of the game, helping to make a better game

Scout for talent in the business, and now that S&L owns a publishing side, they can make sure that they get the rights to potential bestsellers AND the minds behind them.

There is absolutely NO problem with Morning.

A few games were delayed. Boo-hoo
