You can buy on margin; however, the issue is your broker will require you to sell it (Margin Call) or cover it with deposits ASAP, due to volatility increase with earnings coming up. That may be part of the issue with the selling today as well.

Always have a trading plan in place. Avoid the noise on the boards and focus on protecting capital and following your trading plan.
