A year or so ago, there was an article out about this same thing but obviously much more primitive given the advances in quantum theory to today. However, the gist, given quantum understanding at THAT time was posited that the particle was one and the same just existing in two planes simultaneously. Maybe if you're the "self" that's transporting, you get to decide which plane you want to exist in?
