But it takes so long to do development! No one is being fair to them because they don't have the resources of big companies! Their results are really amazing considering how poor they are!
OK, let's say we agree with all these arguments they've made in the recent past. Then how can they, in good faith, and in all honesty, make promises to deliver production lots of engines in time periods that would be astonishingly short for even large, established manufacturers with legitimate technical centers?
That Mark 10 would be bigger than all the other products they have previously promised … combined! One would think it would, therefore, take even longer to deliver than the time frames previously promised. You know, if you were being sober, honest and logical. Just figure how long it would take to build prototypes if you honestly intended to follow through on the project. The tooling isn't exactly something you get out of Harbor Freight. After the design is dyno proven it will take time, and money, to gear up. And their financial reports argue they don't have the cash to build and test the prototypes. Heck, see the top paragraph, Cyclone itself proclaims relative poverty when it comes to the world of engine development.
And that makes for another good question. If they feel they are too small and undercapitalized to get products out in a timely manner, why did they suck investors in to begin with? If they were as all-fired brilliant as they claim, they would have had to know that they weren't up to delivering on their promises. So, was all this due to dishonesty or utter ignorance of what they were attempting?
It's IMPOSSIBLE to claim they were both honest AND professionally competent. But, of course, some pumper with business ties to the company will claim they are both and then avoid making a legimate attempt at proving the assertion by attacking those pointing out the sad, obvious truths. I'm looking forward to once again hearing about how no one else on the board has worked in product development … while ignoring the fact that this company has a perfect record in the field, a perfect record of failure to deliver on promises.
