The example I gave is to make the point that even allowing 1.5 people to collect off the system that only 1 pays into - you will hit a shortfall in the social security fund at some point. 50 percent of marriages end in divorce - and ultimately a lot of remarriages. Allowing beneficiaries - sometimes multiple beneficiaries - who never paid into the system to collect without reducing the primary beneficiary’s benefits - will result in the system going broke which is what is happening and require some cuts be made to something....or taxes to increase which stymies the economy.

As for four marriages? I know people with 3, 4 and 5 marriages….or people divorced from spouses married that many times or more. The world of law enforcement is tough on marriages.

As for first time older dads - that happens too. Once the dads hit 70 - if the kids are under 18 years of age - they are eligible…

My brother a first time dad at 55.
My old boss - first time dad at age 55.
Jeff Goldblum - first kid at age 62, second at age 64
Richard Gere - age 69 - his 35 year old wife is currently pregnant
Alec Baldwin - age 60 - 4 kids age 5 and under
Hugh Grant - age 58 - kid # 5 on the way - oldest of 5 is only 6 years of age
