Industry will never allow that to take place. There must be competition to keep prices in line.

You just don't get it, do you, LWLG will be the LOWEST priced product and highest performance product, period

I will wait patiently for you to show me and the WTMF (Industry) the competitor Platform which has been proven to have the ability to scale to Industry requirements of $1/Gbs at 400 Gbs, please provide the links, tia

FYI, Dr Lebby has been in charge of Roadmapping in the US and Europe for decades now, and he does not know of this competitor, so gl

Oh, and try not to post something aimed at campuses and business parks, will you please

Dr Lebby "Hey, THe Next Node is Coming!" (LWLG)

To summarize, one modulator to rule them all!

ECOC Exhibition 2018 - Lightwave Logic - Michael Lebby

See "Results" WTMF June 2018 video and at 6 min mark Dr Lebby talks to a slide showing PIC'a and Devices Companies >>

Company Name:

Intel
IBM
Avago
Broadcom
Finisar
Lumentum
Oclaro
Neo
Acacia
Luxtera

New Smaller PIC Players:

Lightwave Logic (LWLG)
POET
Effect
Artic

There may be 1000's of companies looking for solutions, but very very very few are smack dab on the Photonics Industry Roadmap!

Check out Slide 16 to see what the Roadmap deemed level of Importance for future developments, they took 100 points and allocated that total amongst areas of concern for development, the top two point getters were

1) Test equipment for 100Gbs (got 21 pts)
2) Must operate at 100 Gbs NRZ ( got 16 pts)

no other entry got double digit points assigned to it

and then look at this slide from Dr Lebby's ECOC presentation >

Industry perception and reality…

• Industry perception

– We (the Industry) are stuck at ~35-50 Gbaud bandwidth. Everything else has to come from increasing complexity of modulation schemes and electronics
• Reality:
– We (LWLG) can use polymer modulators for 100 Gbaud or more!
– E.g. 100Gbps single lane NRZ, 400Gbps with 4 lanes NRZ, 800 Gbps with 4 lanes PAM4

• Industry perception
– Voltages will be high like other MZ modulators
• Reality:
– ~1V means we can eliminate drivers, use direct drive from CMOS

• Industry perception
– Polymer modulators are huge, stand-alone devices
• Reality:
– 5mm Mach-Zehnder fits into standardized transceiver footprints
– Hybrid integration possible with InP, Si photonics, etc.

Polymer modulators are the ticket to the next speed node…

Looks to me like a match made in Photonics Heaven!

"copy/pastes" from News Releases/Presentations are all TRUE FACTS and NOT "hype" as some kooky knuckleheads would like you to believe
