Dmd, with due respect, take a look at page 259 of 1057.

It stated that WAMU made between 484M to 1B from its securitization.

My wag with your theory is that securitized assets have liabilities and WAMU only retain a small amount of profit while the investors take the rest.

Otherwise if WAMU made 25% of 1 Trillion then WAMU would be bigger than Amazon and owned the world and would not be in the predicament it is in now.

So take 500M per year as a conservative estimate times 10 years is 5B, plus the value of what is left will be perhaps another 3B for a total of 8B, plus compounded interest and so give or take 10B.
