North Bay Resources identifies potential of major gold deposit at Fran Project

This includes data from diamond drilling campaigns between 2001 and 2018, as well as geochemical, geophysical, and 3D modeling analyses. Key findings reveal that past drilling—totaling over 18,000 meters—intersected large gold-bearing zones, with notable intercepts of up to 149 meters (489 feet) at 0.95 grams per tonne (g/t) gold. The identified deposit spans over 1,000m x 100m x 300m within a known strike length of 1,700m, indicating an exploration potential of 79.5 million tonnes, with an average grade of 0.8 g/t gold, translating to a potential 2 million ounces. Lazerson stated that there is now sufficient data to proceed with a NI 43-101 Compliant Mineral Resource Estimate. Historically, exploration at Fran focused on high-grade vein targets for underground mining, leaving the bulk tonnage potential largely unexplored. However, North Bay's latest review has shifted its strategy, incorporating both high-grade surface material for processing at its Bishop Gold Mill and ongoing evaluation of the mass tonnage gold deposit for future large-scale mining opportunities. Nexus Minerals expands Payns Find gold target

Nexus Minerals Ltd managing director Andy Tudor talked with Proactive about the latest exploration success at the Payns Find gold target, part of the company's Wallbrook Gold Project in Western Australia. Tudor described the program as “exciting” following a third air core drilling campaign that confirmed high-grade intercepts and significantly expanded the mineralised footprint. He said, “All of the attributes for a big system are here,” highlighting consistent grades of up to 5.99g/t at the extremities of a 900m by 750m target zone. The air core results revealed both supergene and fresh rock mineralisation, with around 30% of the 163 holes showing elevated geochemistry in the final metre — a strong indicator of a large underlying system. “It’s that grade in the supergene and in the fresh rock that’s got us excited,” Tudor said. He also pointed to the presence of a full suite of alteration minerals — cerussite, rutile, tourmaline, and albite — typically associated with major gold systems in the region. With the air core phase now complete, Nexus is turning to reverse circulation (RC) drill planning. Tudor confirmed that air core drilling would continue regionally, while the company prepares for a comprehensive RC program at Payns Find to test depth extensions down to 120–150m. Novo Resources targets gold at Tibooburra

Novo Resources Corp executive co-chair Mike Spreadborough and exploration manager Kas De Luca talked with Proactive about the company’s current exploration, strategy and key drilling campaigns underway in 2025. Spreadborough detailed the company's focus on standalone projects with the potential to exceed one million ounces, with current efforts centred on drilling programs at the Balla Balla project, Tibooburra Gold Project, and upcoming activity at the John Bull Project. “We’re not chasing brownfields mill feed for an existing processing plant. We’re looking for something new and exciting,” he said. De Luca shared insights into the Clone prospect at Tibooburra, highlighting its strong geological context and mineralisation indicators. “The clone thrust has been really identified and pinpointed now as a foot wall shear zone… that seems to us both in the drilling and in service to carry most of the mineralisation,” she noted. De Luca said results from surface sampling returned grades up to 89 grams per tonne, and the company has only tested a small fraction of a 60km mineralised trend. Novo expects results from three programs between now and July and continues to assess additional farm-in opportunities as part of its strategy.
