Li paid dollars to LQMT for the shares he bought for his HK company. So yes, he did get the dollars out (unlikely but he may have already held them outside of China) and yes he is holding dollar based assets. WHether China
would take that back if he sold his shares and give him yuan instead, don't know, but doubt it. Besides, he may never sell them.
