$50 + a healthy CVR in the near term..



That would be a disaster.

CVR is a high-risk instrument IMO - all of the risk, none of the security (and even if you try to sell it would probably have a significant risk premium on the implied value).

Say a BP (for example, Sanofi in your example) doesn't fulfill the terms and conditions of the CVR to your satisfaction. What recourse do you, as a retail investor, have? If you're gonna file a class action against Sanofi, what do you reckon your odds are?
