Because of the JPM Health Conference, hotels and restaurants are almost totally booked for that week. I will wait to the 19th of October to pull the trigger on a Banquet Reservation. If I don't get a large enough reponse, I will book something smaller, with the advantage of being able to add to the reservation for a total of 10 to 20. This may be your best chance to talk with AMARIN brass outside of a Q&A at a presentation.

I started using the phrase "The Las Vegas Reduce It Party" (LVRIT) on StockTwits a week or three after the ADCOM in 2011. I would soon see it mentioned on the StockTwits AMRN list regularly. By the time I moved to ihub, it had already gotten here ahead of me. Every so often I'd ask for names to gauge interest. I ended up with about twenty plus by this Spring/Summer. I was concerned that, discounted for no shows, that might be too few in attendance to make for a good event. I also thought that having an Amarin representative at the dinner would be of interest. And AMARIN has appeared and presented at the JPM Healthcare Investor Conference in San Francisco for a number of years. So I decided to put something together as an alternative to Las Vegas, or in conjunction with the LVRIT, or a replacement should it come to that. Well it hasn't come to that. KevGee59 has grabbed the LVRIT and run with it and I will be pleased to attend and see you there. But... There are those who would just as soon avoid Las Vegas/attend something in Northern Ca. And I've gotten a commitment from an Amarin rep to attend the dinner. So...



I'm booking an event at Mourad on Tuesday January 8th. Chef Mourad Lahlou has appeared on IRON CHEF AMERICA, where he beat the Iron Chef. It is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and is well regarded among the restaurant community. Menu here; http://mouradsf.com/menus/dinner/ If we are under a dozen, we can call on anything on the menu. If we are over a dozen, I work out a fixe prix menu with the chef. I will keep you informed and we can work through the must-haves and instantly lethal allergies. There is a maximum of 40 guests, but if we get too many, there are solutions. There will be a no host bar prior to the dinner. I'm generally a straight up drinker, but Mourad's bartender is a madman. Some of the drinks are awesome... and all are interesting. Check out the bar menu. The Amarin rep is unsure of the work schedule for that evening, but hopes to be there for the complete get together. We have a commitment from them to be there long enough to interact with everyone as company responsibilities allow.

For those preferring to come to town for more than a dinner, I can put together/join you Monday on a wine tour, possibly dinner and a show at the Uptown in Napa, a trip to the Monterey Bay aquarium, or the Fillmore auditorium or ? I'm easy.



Note: The SF dinner is open to additional AMARIN personnel, but whereas I had an immediate response on attending the SF dinner, to a very large degree that has to be due to AMARIN being in town. I've not heard further about someone attending the Las Vegas Dinner, though I have stressed that they are welcome. Those (Bio Bill et al) with an ongoing personal relationship with AMARIN brass are in a better position to pursue this further...

All previous reservations/intentions/protestations/concatenations/and ameliorations are null and void. Slates are wiped clean. The current attendence list as of 10/8 looks like a polar bear eating vanilla ice cream in a blizzard. To get on the list, Paypal me $100 earnest money along with contact info, reactions to the plan so far, any requests and anything you might think is of interest.

My AMRN dinner partner is currently recruiting others for at least an appearance at the dinner. The issue is in part that they have no clue if that will be the night that Saudi money tries to set up an OFOEC (Organization of Fish Oil Exporting Countries) by buying AMARIN at $500 a share as a centerpiece or that JT has to turn and say to the mob following him, "Like Hell it's tonight or never! This ain't our first dance! We will take your $Gazillion offers and take them home and take them apart before we even begin to think about looking closely and comparing them. All this will be while we work on our future as an independent company. In the mean time, Hey! I'm hungry..."
