That confirms that demand has fallen off a cliff. A business doesn't lower the cost of the "highest selling" product in the market if demand is high.

You forgot to mention that they also removed the self-driving option from their website and order pages altogether, meaning they now owe refunds to everyone who has paid for it so far. Analysts have valued that feature at $15-20 billion worth of the current market cap.
