I assume these are MBS trusts --- which are owned by those who buy the issued preferred paper
I assume that WaMu held some beneficial interest in these - say 5% for putting them together

What I continue to not understand is where did all the interest or dividend payment go these last 10 years ??

If my assumption that these trusts are composed of MBS paper - then a trust over 10 years old has near zero principal value

??????

I have asked this question before and before and have never received an answer from those who believe these are "waiting for us" --- where is the interest owed us as the principal value is close to zero as the mortgages died and MBS paper pays a combo of interest and principal

? Did such return of principal from dead mortgages (home sales - refinance) sit inside the trust and accumulate there (v being paid out the preferred share owners)?
