Talked to my PCP about off-label Rx today. I’m 32 and in great health. Wouldn’t do it for me... said he’s got to have a diagnosis code.

Naturally I launched into my diatribe of off-label benefits, lack of side effects, etc. He made some comment about V converting my trigs into something... bad cholesterol I believe...

I was pretty frustrated...

Interestingly enough, KOWA rep was in here. Heard her selling the outcomes study hard to one of his partners - (I identified her due to Livalo). My PCP isn’t biting until AHA.

he also said “I’m not big on Omega 3s. I’m also not big on drug trials sponsored by the company. You never know What they aren’t telling us...?”

I mean, WTF??? The uphill battle is real for these reps till AHA and more marketing campaigns from AMRN
