never caught hardly a breeze-------and no power loss. And although i have ridden out every hurricane here for the last 4o years or so, i'm always prepared. It's mostly those who are naive, stupid, and unprepared who suffer any physical harm. The rest is just rebuilding and awaiting power to return. Odds of dying are astronomically more certain from auto wrecks and even lightening strikes! They never get MSM attention so. Hurricanes make for great MSM ratings. Hence, the dramatic spin 24/7. Experienced locals know better.----------------But we're all fine. I have 7 acres, 40 chickens, 12 ducks, a pittbull named musclehead (named for damned good reason), and 5 adults. My home i built survived a strong hit from ivan...and that one thereafter (i forget all the names). We survived a direct hit from erin/opal (one of those names). But you see? I've been through so many i can't keep their names straight. But if they ever name one "BO", i'm leaving- i swear! I don't want to meet and greet some hurricane that has MY name. That might be pushing it...........
