Here's an e-mail from my Congressman this afternoon.
I reside in Minnesota. I wrote back to him regarding BioElectronics and how out product is being stalled (taking a LONG time) for approval by the FDA.

There's a phone number and contact info at the very end.

Lewis addresses opioid epidemic:

Our country is facing an unprecedented opioid epidemic. Addiction affects millions of individuals and families around the country, and sadly most of us know someone who has been affected by this crisis. Since coming to Congress, I have supported numerous initiatives and even introduced my own piece of legislation in an effort to help our communities stop this crisis.

This spring, I introduced a bill that would direct the Department of Labor to establish an advisory committee on opioids and the workplace. We must comprehensively study and analyze the ways in which addiction affects the lives of those afflicted, and I believe we all must look to how workplaces play a role in this. Many workplaces want to help support their employees, but do not know the best practices or proactive steps to take to help prevent or address addictions.

I’m thankful to have worked across the aisle with Congressman Matt Cartwright (PA-17) on this bill to help address the harmful effects of opioid abuse in the workplace and take proactive steps to see what actions employers can take to address affected employees.

Additionally, I recently voted in favor of H.R. 6, The SUPPORT for Patients and Communities Act, as it passed the House. This bill is the most significant congressional action against a drug crisis in history and will help support treatment, recovery, and prevention efforts in our communities as well as taking steps to address the growing threat of fentanyl. It also removes barriers in Medicare and Medicaid to help individuals with substance use disorders.

While we make great progress with this bill, I also believe we must do a better job in treating these addictions like the medical issue they are and not solely a criminal issue. That is why I will continue to work toward criminal justice reform that helps low-level, non-violent drug offenders get back on the right track and reduce their likelihood of recidivism by utilizing drug courts and treatment programs.

We have made great progress in addressing this crisis, and I look forward in continuing to help address opioid addiction.
