Hi, JL. RVNC's RT002 appears to attenuate diffusion from the injection sites, as compared to Botox and other Botox-like type-A botulinum toxins. This increases the density of localized neurons that are paralyzed before the botulinum toxin is cleared by the system, which is perceived as a longer duration of action at the injection sites.
Simply using a higher dose doesn’t accomplish the same result because of increased side effects such as ptosis (e.g. for glabellar-lines treatment) or dysphagia (e.g. for cervical-dystonia treatment).
