In the one of the last Nintendo Directs, they (Nintendo) announced that one company was going to bring board games to the Switch. I believe they mentioned Catan amongst others.
I commented on this as well, you can look up what I said. So I wouldn’t be too quick to judge that video games and board games can not work hand in hand with one another...
In fact, with that announcement, Snakes&Lattes is now in a MUCH better position to work with Nintendo than before.
Imagine this:
They bring Catan to the Switch, a Catan event can be held at participating Snakes&Lattes in which players can bring their Switch AND play the board game with other players.
And now that they opened the door to bring boardgames into video games, it is more possible for S&L to license one of their own games ...if it becomes successful enough.
