I don’t wholeheartedly agree about US’ motivation to legalize. As more states permit recreational use more companies will file taxes without the ability to deduct ordinary business expenses creating a boon for the federal government in tax revenue. You make perfect sense yet my faith waivers when it comes to the government’s ability to make sane rational decisions in the face of overwhelming data. Legalization is certainly possible and appearing more likely all the time but it is not at all a foregone conclusion. I’m sorry it, just isn’t.
