We have to hope that there is no "ldl" differential effects between placebo group and epa group

So if ldl decreased by 2% in placebo and 10% in epa group it could be putting the trial design into question ??

How would we know the extra decrease in ldl in epa group was not due to placebo interacting with statin and causing commensurate increase in ldl ?


There is also no way to quantify impact on RRR due to ldl diff between groups if there is a diff ?


The good thing is jelis did not have placebo and ldl decreased in both groups by SAME 26%

However this makes anchor results intriguing. Why did ldl decrease in epa 2g and 4g group by 6.2% and 3.6% ? Could it be due to mineral oil
