Shoppers Drug Mart is the largest over-the-counter prescription drug retailer in Canada. I'm from Toronto and there is 4 Shoppers Drug Marts within a 5 minute drive from my house. It's essentially the 7-eleven of prescription drugs in Canada...... Shoppers is also owned by Loblaws Companies Ltd. Loblaws is the largest grocery retailer in Canada (TSX:L) They purchased Shoppers Drug Mart in 2014 for $12.4 billion in a cash and stock deal. Heavy!

The deal that Aurora signed with Shoppers puts them ahead of any other distributor in our market. Shoppers Drug Mart received their license from Health Canada this past Friday to start distributing at all of their locations on Oct. 17th when it's legalized.
