What is the "the actual number of shares that exist"?

How did you calculate that 2 or 3 times that amount have been "counterfeited"?

The average shareholder can't naked short stock. There is no example where you can have 3 or 4 times the actual number of shares that exist (or for that matter any number of share any amount that is more than the number of issued and outstanding shares), this is the definition of Naked Shorting - which is counterfeiting, theft and flat-out illegal!!!!
