The scenario you mentioned sounds like something that happened a year or so ago. The price kept dropping even though someone was hitting the ask.

People were saying the same kinds of things - manipulation. But then it came out that one of our very own was selling a bunch of shares. So at least how I remember it what several here thought was manipulation was just someone in retail selling a lot of shares.

Seems to me either the same is happening now, or someone is shorting quite a few shares, so it just keeps downward pressure on the price.

The increased shorting numbers reported seems to support the idea that what looks like manipulation is just continued shorting.

My philosophy is to just be honest and balanced, and let the market decide if it agrees or not.
